Case Study: Launching a Branded Marketing Insights Podcast
Recently, a new client approached me with an exciting challenge: she wanted to create a branded podcast to support her small company, which specializes in consumer insights. Her goal was to develop a show that sounded unique, polished, and professional, something that would reflect her brand’s expertise while engaging her audience.
We kicked off the project with a pre-production meeting, where we focused on show and episode development planning. This initial session allowed us to outline the podcast’s tone, structure, and key content themes, ensuring each episode would deliver value while remaining aligned with her brand.
Once the scripts were finalized, we moved into recording. To save her time and make the process as convenient as possible, I set up a remote pop-up studio right at her office. This approach allowed for high-quality recordings without disrupting her schedule. After each session, I returned to my studio to handle the next steps: editing, sound design, mixing, and mastering.
The client provided feedback on the first drafts, which we incorporated to refine the final episodes. With the audio polished and approved, it was time to publish. I set up a new account for the client on a popular podcast service and created an RSS feed, distributing the show to all major platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Amazon.
Since launch, we’ve been monitoring the show’s performance using analytics, which helps guide decisions for upcoming episodes and ensures the podcast continues to resonate with listeners. The client was thrilled with the results, praising the show’s professional quality and its seamless integration into her brand strategy.
This project is a great example of how thoughtful planning, flexible recording solutions, and meticulous post-production can bring a branded podcast to life, helping a small business connect with its audience in a meaningful and professional way.
